Scope

The scope of the product is typically focused at the group-level with metrics presented for each line of business (e.g. Capital Markets and Wealth & Asset Management). The line of business view provides analysis for the underlying asset classes or products.

Why do it?

The program enables clients to understand Infrastructure spend in a business context using revenues, operating expense, spend on applications and business headcount. Further, it provides actionable cost-savings insights, highlighting drivers and cost-levers to help reduce infrastructure spend.

What you get

  • Cost analysis using metrics such as ITCIR, IT Intensity (IT$/OpEx), hosting costs relative to Application Development and Maintenance and end user technology spend per business head
  • Human resourcing strategy analysis by headcount by cost location (high/medium/low), by contract type (staff/contractor/outsourced), average cost per resource by cost location and contract type

Client commitment

Firms are required to submit extracts from their systems for the relevant data requirements in order to conduct the analysis. Expand will work closely with the client to map all costs to the normalized taxonomy framework used to compare the firm.
